There is plenty to see and do starting from Vidhave. Excellent long and short adventures for all and as accessible for those staying with us as it is for those who wish to visit during the day.
If you are leaving from Visby, we recommend cycling, it's a 15-minute leisurely ride along the sea.
Snäckviken bath is the sandy beach of Vidhaven and Visby. Here you swim in a sheltered bay where Gotland's shelf edge has created a shallow flat where sand collects and waves are blocked. Next to the beach there are bathing piers for those who don't like sand between their toes. The sand ends in a grassy meadow with plenty of room to get away even when Visby's locals and guests are numerous.
Our café and restaurant offers food, drinks & ice cream throughout the summer. And for those who wish, there is the possibility of swimming in the pool. Our long and short walks starting from here are for some a welcome break to quiet rest on the beach.
In addition to the beach and bathing area, there is a restaurant, café and swimming pool. A large grassy area is perfect for picnics.
If you come by car, the most convenient place to park is right by the sea, but parking costs the most there. At the entrance to Vidhave from Lummelundsväg, parking costs only 2kr/h. A limited number of free parking spaces are also available if you come by sea, about 300m from the beach.
We provide free toilets at the restaurant, café and campsite service building. Water is available for sale in the Café.
At Vidhave and around there are both short and long walking trails. One easily accessible and spectacular walk is on the grounds, up Korpklinten with views over the whole area and all the way to Visby.
Vidhave is located between several nature reserves that are destinations in themselves, or just a beautiful passage on the way to Själsö harbor or Visby. North of us is Brucebo nature reserve with varied coastal nature and high cliffs. South of us is Bergbetningens & Galgbergets nature reserve, both with fine scenery and organised paths.
We have prepared some tours for those who don't want to miss any gems.
