General conditions when booking at Vidhave. Terms and conditions listed here, except cancellation policy, apply to all bookings with us. Including bookings through our website, in our app or if made through third parties.

Your booking. Bookings are preferably made atvidhave where the conditions for cancellation also follow this agreement. Booking in other channels may come with other cancellation rules why your attention to these is required. For manual booking or booking over the phone, a booking fee of SEK 240 is added.

Booking confirmation. After your booking is received, you will receive a confirmation email. This will state the number of people, price, selected accommodation and other products and services included in your booking.

Traveling with small children. Children under 4 years old can sleep in their parents' bed at no extra cost and do not need to be included in the number of guests for booking.

Age limit. All our accommodations require the booking guest to be over 23 years old.

Accuracy of prices and final payment. The total cost of the stay includes the room rate, taxes and charges applicable at the time of booking. Any services and other orders booked before or during the stay, but not together with the booking, are added to the bill and paid before departure. Any changes in the form of taxes or other government requirements beyond our control will be charged to future bookings, and the bill will be settled before departure or in the online check-out procedure. In case of non-payment, the credit card used for the booking will be charged with a surcharge of 590 SEK.

Consumption. Vidhave is an environmentally friendly accommodation where you can influence your cost by saving on resources. Your consumption is included with a fixed price in your fee. When given the opportunity to choose to pay only for consumption instead of fixed, payment is made according to the following tariff:

• Water: 75 SEK/m3 (7.5 öre per liter)
• Electricity: 6 kr/kWh
• Heating & Cooling: 4 SEK/kWh

Your consumption is added to your bill daily and settled when you check out.

Check-in, ID, and credit card. Our check-in is done online, and you'll get access to your accommodation after the official check-in time. When you check in, you'll need to provide a valid credit card for identification. This card will also be used to settle your consumption and any unexpected costs when you check out. The guest checking in must be the cardholder. If you use a different card than the one you booked with, any advance payment will be refunded, and the whole booking will be charged to the new card instead.

Payment and cancellation policy

The booking rules below apply to reservations made on our website or through other contact with us, unless we've agreed otherwise.

Flexible booking: This booking is for you if you're not quite sure yet. Payment will be charged to your card starting the day before arrival.

Cancellation policy: fees are based on the full booking price, excluding any extra add-ons you've chosen.

• You can cancel for free up to 1 week before arrival.
• If you cancel less than 1 week before arrival, the cancellation fee will be equal to a 5-day stay.
• If you cancel less than 1 day before arrival, the fee will be the full price of your stay, up to a maximum of 10 days.

Special offers, advance bookings: These are for all bookings at special prices. An advance booking fee will be charged to your credit card 2 days after you book.

Cancellation policy: fees are based on the full booking price, excluding any extra add-ons you've chosen.

• You can cancel for free within 48 hours of booking.
• If you cancel up to 4 weeks before arrival, the cancellation fee will be your booking fee.
• If you cancel less than 4 weeks before arrival, the cancellation fee will be the same as the full price of your stay, up to a maximum of 28 days.

Owner booking: This is for bookings made by the owner or their family. The booking is free, and you can cancel without a fee right up until arrival. If you don't show up without canceling, you'll be charged 300 kr.

Bookings through other parties: If you book through a third party, you'll follow the cancellation rules outlined in your agreement with them. These are outside of our control.

Access to your booked accommodation and no-shows. Vidhave will hold your booking if you don't check in until 10:00 AM the day after your arrival. If you haven't canceled or arrived by then, we'll cancel your room without contacting you. The time until 10:00 AM the day after arrival will be considered used, and Vidhave will cancel on your behalf. A fee will then be charged according to your booking's cancellation policy.

Looking after your accommodation during your stay and liability for damage. The person who booked accommodation at Vidhave, or anyone acting as a guarantor for the room, is responsible for any damage caused by carelessness or inappropriate behavior. They are also responsible for any extra cleaning costs for Vidhave if regular cleaning hasn't been done properly. Carelessness will result in an additional charge equal to Vidhave's actual cost plus a fee of 1200 kr per incident and house.

Vidhave's accommodations are smoke-free. If this rule is broken, Vidhave reserves the right to charge for deep cleaning and extra laundry for the accommodation. This charge will be 4500 kr and will be billed to the guest responsible for the room.

Borrowing and renting equipment during your stay. Vidhave might offer you the chance to borrow or rent equipment. Guests who use these offers take responsibility for the equipment, including keys, as detailed in the appendix below.

Force majeure. If things happen that are beyond our control – like strikes, lockouts, or fires – and it makes it impossible to fulfill this agreement, either party has the right to cancel the agreement without being liable for compensation.

Legal matters. Any disagreements that might come up between you (the guest) and us (the hotel) will be handled according to Swedish law. If we can't sort out a dispute amicably, the hotel's jurisdiction will apply, unless there are mandatory consumer protection rules that say otherwise.

Appendix: Borrowing and renting.

Terms for borrowing

• Equipment borrowed is valid for the period agreed upon when you borrowed it.
• If you go over the lending time, it'll be considered a rental based on the agreement below.
• All other conditions are the same as for rentals.

Rental Conditions

• Rentals are charged per day
• Unless we've agreed otherwise, please return the vehicle or equipment to where you picked it up, during our opening hours.
• We can't refund you for any agreed time you haven't used.
• If the rented item gets damaged, you'll be responsible for covering the costs.
• The rental company doesn't take any responsibility for personal injury or damage to clothing that might happen during the rental period.
• If you go over your rental time, we'll charge you for another full day's rental, plus an extra 200kr fee.
• You can only use the rented item and any other equipment here on Gotland.

Theft protection is included when you borrow or rent from us.

If a vehicle or equipment is stolen, only the deductible listed below will be paid:

Deductible:

– Standard bicycle: 1000 kr

– Bike helmet: 50 SEK

– Child bike seat: 50 SEK

Important! For your insurance to be valid, you need to meet the following conditions:

1. The item you rented must have been locked when it was stolen.
2. You need to be able to show us the key to the item's lock.
3. You'll need to give Vidhave a copy of the theft report you filed with the Police (Police Phone +46 114 14).

If a lost rental item is found, it will belong to Vidhave. If you have theft protection and meet points 1-3, you'll never pay more than the current deductible. If you don't meet your responsibilities, a lost vehicle or equipment will be replaced at its full value: 7,500 SEK. You'll also need to personally file a police report.

Issues and damage during use.

If there's a big problem or damage to the vehicle, please contact Vidhave right away at +46 498 660 996. If equipment breaks down, Vidhave will help you on-site, as long as:

– You've tried to fix the damage yourself, using your repair kit if you have one.

– Assistance can be provided during our normal opening hours.

General terms when making reservations at Vidhave.

The terms stated here, with the exception of cancellation rules, apply to all bookings with us. This includes bookings made via our website, in our app, or through third parties.

Your booking

Bookings are preferably made at www.vidhave.se, where the terms including cancellation follow this agreement. Bookings through other channels may come with different cancellation terms, so please pay attention to these. For manual bookings or bookings made by phone, a fee of 240 SEK is added.

Booking confirmation

After your booking has been received, you will get a confirmation email. It shows the number of guests, the price, your chosen accommodation, and other products or services included in your booking.

Traveling with young children

Children under 4 years old may sleep in their parents’ bed free of charge and do not need to be counted in the number of guests when booking.

Age limit

All our accommodations require that the booking guest is over 23 years old.

Price accuracy and final payment

The total cost for the stay includes the room price, taxes, and fees valid at the time of booking. Any services or extras ordered before or during your stay, but not included in the original booking, are added to your bill and paid before departure. Changes in taxes or other mandatory government charges outside our control will apply to future bookings. The bill is settled before departure or through the online check-out process. If the final payment is not made, the credit card used for the booking will be charged, with an additional fee of 590 SEK.

Consumption

Vidhave is an eco-friendly accommodation where you can influence your cost by saving resources. Consumption is normally included at a fixed rate in your fee. When the option is available to pay only for actual consumption instead of a fixed rate, payment is made according to the following tariff:

• Water: 75 SEK/m³ (7.5 öre per liter)
• Electricity: 6 SEK/kWh
• Heating & cooling: 4 SEK/kWh

Your consumption is added to your bill daily and settled upon check-out.

Check-in, identification and credit card

Check-in is done online, and you will have access to your accommodation after the check-in time. A valid credit card must be presented at check-in to verify your identity. This card will also be used to settle consumption costs and any unforeseen expenses at check-out. The guest checking in must be the cardholder. If a different card is presented than the one used for the booking, any prepayment will be refunded and the entire booking will be charged to the new card.

Payment and cancellation rules

The following rules apply for bookings made on our website or directly with us, unless otherwise agreed.

Flexible booking – For guests who want flexibility. Payment is charged from your card the day before arrival.

Cancellation rules (based on the full booking price excluding selected extras):

• Up to 1 week before arrival: free cancellation.
• From 1 week before arrival: a fee equal to 5 nights’ stay.
• From 1 day before arrival: a fee equal to the full stay, maximum 10 nights.

Special offers / advance bookings – All bookings at special rates. A booking fee is charged to your card 2 days after booking.

Cancellation rules (based on the full booking price excluding selected extras):

Within 48 hours after booking: free cancellation.

• Up to 4 weeks before arrival: cancellation fee equals your booking fee.
• From 4 weeks before arrival: cancellation fee equals the full stay, maximum 28 nights.

Owner bookings – Bookings made by the owner or the owner’s family. Free of charge, cancellations possible until arrival. No-show without cancellation will be charged 300 SEK.

Bookings via third parties – If you book through a third party, their cancellation rules apply. These are outside our control.

Access to booked accommodation and no-show

Vidhave is obliged to hold a booking until 10:00 AM the day after the scheduled arrival date. If you have not cancelled or arrived before this time, we will cancel the room without contacting you. The time until 10:00 AM the next day counts as used, and Vidhave cancels on your behalf. Fees are then charged according to the cancellation rules of your booking.

Care of the accommodation and liability for damages

The booking guest (or anyone acting as guarantor for the booking) is responsible for damages caused by negligence or reckless behavior. They are also responsible for additional cleaning costs if proper housekeeping has not been maintained during the stay. Negligence is charged at Vidhave’s actual cost plus an additional fee of 1,200 SEK per incident and house.

All Vidhave accommodations are non-smoking. In case of violation, Vidhave has the right to charge for cleaning and extra laundry. The fee is 4,500 SEK and will be charged to the responsible guest.

Loan and rental of equipment during your stay

Vidhave may offer equipment for loan or rental. The guest is responsible for the equipment, including keys, according to the appendix below.

Force majeure

Events beyond the control of the contracting parties – such as strikes, lockouts, fire, etc. – that make it impossible to fulfill obligations under this agreement give the right to terminate the agreement without liability for compensation.

Court of law

Any disagreements between you (the guest) and the hotel will be sorted out according to Swedish law. If we can't resolve it friendly, the hotel's rules apply, unless consumer protection laws say otherwise.

Appendix: Borrowing and renting equipment

Rules for borrowing

• A loan is valid for the time period we agreed on when you borrowed it.
• If you keep it longer than agreed, it will be treated as a rental, following the rules below.
• Otherwise, the same rules apply as for renting.

Rules for renting

• You'll be charged per day for rentals.
• Unless we agree otherwise, vehicles/equipment need to be returned to where you picked them up, during the rental office's opening hours.
• We can't refund you for any unused time.
• If the rented item gets damaged, you (the renter) need to pay for it.
• You (the renter) are fully responsible for any personal injuries or damage to clothing that happens while you're renting.
• If you go over the rental time, you'll be charged a new daily rate plus a 200 SEK fee.
• Equipment can only be used on Gotland.

Theft protection is included when you borrow or rent.

If something gets stolen, you only pay the deductible as follows:

• Standard bike: 1,000 SEK
• Bike helmet: 50 SEK
• Child seat for bike: 50 SEK

Important! For the insurance to be valid, you need to meet these conditions:

1. The item you rented must have been locked when it was stolen.
2. You need to show us the key to the lock.
3. A copy of the police report needs to be given to Vidhave (Police tel. +46 114 14).

If stolen equipment is found, it still belongs to Vidhave. You (the renter) will never pay more than the deductible if you meet points 1-3. If not, you'll have to pay the full value of the lost equipment: 7,500 SEK. You must personally make the police report.

Problems and damages during use

In case of major fault or damage to the vehicle, immediately contact Vidhave at +46 498 660 996. In case of equipment failure, Vidhave will assist the customer on site provided that:

• The renter has, to the best of their ability and with repair kit available, attempted to repair the damage.
• Assistance can take place during normal opening hours.

General Terms and Conditions for booking with Vidhave

The terms listed here, except for the cancellation rules, apply to all bookings you make with us. This covers bookings through our website, our app, or even third-party sites.

Your Booking

It's best to book through www.vidhave.se, as our cancellation policy there follows this agreement. If you book through other channels, they might have different cancellation rules, so please pay attention to those. Also, for manual bookings or bookings over the phone, there's a 240 SEK booking fee.

Booking Confirmation

Once we get your booking, we'll send you a confirmation email. It will show you how many people are staying, the price, your chosen accommodation, and any other products or services included in your booking.

Traveling with Little Ones

Kids under 4 can sleep in their parents' bed for free, and you don't need to include them in the guest count when you book.

Age Limit

For all our accommodations, the person making the booking needs to be at least 23 years old.

Price Accuracy and Final Payment

The total cost for your stay includes the room rate, plus any taxes and fees that apply when you book. Any extra services or items you order before or during your stay, but not with your original booking, will be added to your bill and need to be paid before you leave. If there are any changes to taxes or other government charges that are out of our hands, these will apply to future bookings. Your bill will be settled before you check out or during the online check-out process. If the final payment isn't made, the credit card you used for your booking will be charged the amount, plus an extra fee of 590 SEK.

Your Usage

Vidhave is an eco-friendly place to stay, and you can help keep costs down by being mindful of your resource use. Usually, your usage is covered by a fixed price in your booking fee. But if you have the option to pay for what you actually use instead of a flat rate, here's how it works:
• Water: 75 SEK/m³ (that's 0.075 SEK per liter)
• Electricity: 6 SEK/kWh
• Heating & Cooling: 4 SEK/kWh

Your usage will be added to your bill each day and settled when you check out.

Checking In, ID, and Credit Card

You'll check in online, and you'll get access to your place after the official check-in time. When you check in, we'll need a valid credit card to confirm who you are. This card will also be used to cover your usage and any unexpected costs when you check out. The person checking in must be the cardholder. If you use a different card than the one you booked with, any deposit will be refunded, and the whole booking will be charged to the new card.

Maintenance of accommodation and liability for damage

The booking guest (or any person acting as guarantor for the booking) is liable for damages caused by negligence or reckless behavior. He/she is also responsible for additional cleaning costs if the ongoing cleaning during the stay has not been carried out properly. Negligence will be charged at Vidhave 's actual costs plus a fee of SEK 1,200 per incident per house.

All Vidhave accommodation is non-smoking. In the event of non-compliance, Vidhave is entitled to compensation for cleaning and extra laundry. The compensation is SEK 4,500 and will be charged to the responsible guest.

Hire and rental of equipment during your stay

Vidhave may offer the possibility to borrow or rent equipment. The guest assumes responsibility for the equipment, including the keys, according to the annex below.

Force majeure

Events beyond the control of the contracting parties - e.g. strike, lockout, fire, etc. - which make it impossible to fulfill the obligations under this contract entitle the contract to be terminated without liability for compensation.

Jurisdiction

All disputes between the parties (guest and hotel) are governed by Swedish law. If the dispute cannot be settled amicably, the hotel's place of jurisdiction shall apply, subject to mandatory provisions of consumer law.

Annex: Loan and rental of equipment

Conditions for loans
- A loan contract is valid for the period agreed at the time of the loan.
- If the loan period is exceeded, this is instead considered as a rental according to the conditions below.
- Otherwise, the same conditions apply as for rental.

Rental conditions
- Rental is charged per day.
- Unless otherwise agreed, the vehicle/equipment must be returned to the pick-up location during opening hours.
- Unused rental time is non-refundable.
- Damage to the rental object must be compensated by the renter.
- The lessor accepts no responsibility for damage to persons or clothing that may occur during the rental period.
- If the rental period is exceeded, an additional daily rate and a fee of 200 SEK will be charged.
- Rental properties and equipment may only be used on Gotland.

Anti-theft protection is included in the loan and rental.

In the event of theft, only the excess is payable according to the following list:
- Standard bicycle: SEK 1,000
- Bicycle helmet: SEK 50
- Child seat for bicycle: SEK 50

Important! For the insurance to be valid, the following conditions must be met:
1. the rented property must have been locked at the time of the theft.
2. It must be possible to produce the key to the lock.
3. A copy of the theft report submitted to the police must be presented Vidhave (tel. police +46 114 14).

If a stolen object is recovered, it remains the property of Vidhave. The tenant will never pay more than the applicable excess, provided that points 1-3 are met, otherwise the tenant will pay the full value of the lost object: SEK 7,500. The theft report must be made personally by the tenant.

Errors and damage during use

In the event of major faults or damage to the vehicle, please contact Vidhave immediately on +46 498 660 996. In the event of defects to the equipment, Vidhave will assist the customer on site, provided that:
- The hirer has tried to repair the damage to the best of his/her ability and with the repair kit available.
- Assistance can be provided during regular opening hours.
