Farm distillery = A small spirit distillery in Gotland's countryside

Boge Distillery is a small, local spirit distillery right here on the island. Or, as they like to call it, a farm distillery! It's a really interesting place to visit, only about half an hour from Vidhave and Visby. It's perfect if you want to understand how small businesses operate here on the island, if you appreciate sustainable production and local collaboration, or simply if you're curious about amazing spirits and how they're made.

This small and charming spirit distillery is nestled on a farm in the tiny village of Boge, in Gotland's northeastern countryside. The distillery is set up in one of the farm's old service buildings, and when you step inside, the atmosphere might look a bit different depending on what stage of production they're in. But no matter when you visit, you'll quickly feel welcome! One of the owners will greet you and kick off the tour through the distillery. You'll get to learn all about their history, their philosophy behind making spirits, the different steps in the process, and if you're curious, even the unique ins and outs of producing spirits in Sweden.

During the tour, they'll explain the different techniques they use to distill various types of spirits and how even tiny details in the process can totally change the final product. It's super engaging and really interactive! You'll have plenty of chances to ask questions and chat with the staff. There's so much to learn, and if you have questions, they'll definitely have answers!

During and after the tour, you'll get the chance to taste their local spirits. We do this right in the middle of the distillery, and suddenly, everything comes together – the production techniques, local collaborations, ingredients, history, and even recycling – all in a few small, delicious tasting experiences. You'll also learn about the different flavor profiles and get some tips on how to best enjoy the spirits.

You can book your tour directly with Boge Distillery, and the visit usually takes up to 1.5 hours. It's a truly memorable and educational experience at this charming local spirit distillery.
